cannot connect wireless woth tomato

I cannot connect in wireless mode.  Linksys WRT54GS & Tomato firmware.  I tried to re-install fom Linksys' website with no joy.

Just to clarify, Tomato isn't working for you so you'd like to revert to the stock Linksys firmware?

Exactly what version of WRT54GS do you have?
It tells on the barcode sticker attached to the bottom of the router... there will be a small field (above the barcode) on the sticker where it will say e.g. ''WRT54GS'' in black on silver, then ''v3'' or ''ver 5.0'' or somesuch in white on black.  
That's the ONLY place it tells what the version of the router is. Otherwise, if you tell us the first 4 characters of the serial number, we may be able to look it up. The first THREE characters of a WRT54GS serial number are usually CGN. We need to know the first FOUR characters to possibly tell what version it is.
