when the power button is depresed  led's 9 ,a and arrow pointing down all located next o power button and the power led light for a few seconds and ten go out other than this nothing els happens.
i have swapped ram and disconnected everything drive,wireless modem pcimcia keyboard ect

    So can you be a little more specific as to what you are looking for?  Sorry I find it a bit hard to follow your question and what you are asking?  

    Sounds like you are having a problem with the laptop.  Have you pulled out the battery and unplugged the the power button and discharge the capacitors...replace the power cord and try turning it on?  any difference?  (dont need the battery to run least you SHOULDN'T need it to turn it on...)  

    It is also possible the motherboard could just be shot...
    Also any other issues?  Have you dropped it recently or spilled anything on it?  etc...
