Setting up Fax services on SBS

We would like to fax from our network - following the load advice from all the manuals it says nothing about having a modem attached. Do we need to attach a fax machine to the server or does Exchange convert and dial the fax machine on the other side? It sounds a bit far fetched that the server will dial into a fax machine. Also can we have a fax device shared on a pc and go through that. I need a dummy guide on how to setup the fax services i.e attach fax device to bla bla. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Gregopsg,
"Exchange convert and dial the fax machine on the other side?"
For "dialing" ability, server needs a fax modem. The types of fax machines that I know cant be attached to a PC to work together, but if you have some advanced device lika all-in one printers, it may work.
          Here is a good manual
