Cant set image as desktop background on Lenovo N200 / Intel Mobile 965 express chipset

Cant set image as desktop background on Lenovo N200 machines
(have no problem with other computer brands!!!)

We have a client with 17 computers and they need to set the background image as per standard in the organisation. On all other machines than Lenovo is the task pretty straight forward, but none of the Lenovo N200 machines stores/save the set desktop image.

All computers are running on XP Pro - the Lenovo is equppied with Intel Mobile Express 965 graphics card

Any solutions anyone?

Open regedit and check for a DWORD value NoSaveSettings in right-side pane under following keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Program Manager\Restrictions

if its there delete it
