Input signal out of range

After updating my Nvidia Quadro NVS 440 (4 head) to driver version 178.13 via Windows update, I get "Input signal out of range error" on my HP 2035 monitor. This is when trying 1600x1200 in 60hz - exactly the resolution the monitor suggests as standard. Same if I use the "change to the native resolution"-button in NVIDIA control panel - it changes to 1600x1200 and the error shows up, and then goes all black...

Anyone, any idea?

One thing i learned awhile ago is NEVER use windows updates to update a driver. Uninstall the current driver then delete the Nvidia folder from the C: drive, then try the latest driver from Nvidia(178.76).

Nope, same problem. Well - probably a strange problem with my monitor(s) and my video card.
Try setting dx refresh rate manually:
start - run - dxdiag - more help - DirectDraw refresh rate - override - override value - type in 60 and press ok. Not sure, that it'll help, but it's worth a try.
If it doesn't, than the best solution would probably be rolling back your driver to the previous one, that worked fine.
You may also try using 180.43 driver. it is in beta version now, but, however, it may work just fine. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_180.43_beta.html
