Agent.exe error, can't open Firefox / IE / or outlook

Here is the challenge Im having:
I'm running Windows XP Professional Edition <http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-2840066.php>  on my PC.
All of the sudden last night I can no longer connect to the internet; browser will not even open. (Firefox or Explorer) Microsoft outlook opens and then shuts down.
I am sending this from my laptop connected through my wireless router in my home.

I keep getting:
agent.exe - Application Error <http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-2840066.php
The instruction at "0x7c910f29" referenced memory at "0x00000001".
The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate.

Originally I just clicked the X in the top right hand corner. It kept coming back. I am running eset  version 3.0.621.0 and stopzilla.
Everything else seems to work fine, but I cannot get on line at all.

Please let me know a solution and any suggestions asap.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Install and run HijackThis (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis) or Autoruns (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx). Post the results.
