Can you change the drop-down size of a combobox in Lotus Notes?

Hi guys.  I am programming in 8.0.  I am working on a database for a company that is still on 6.5 (but is moving to 8.0 soon).  There is a combo box on a form that has several hundred entries -- a product list.  When they click on the arrow, it only drops down and shows five and you then you have to scroll.

In my 8.0, the drop down is much bigger.  I tried the proportional option instead of fixed and that didn't work for the folks on 6.5.4.

Is it just an 8.0 that makes the dropdown box bigger or is there something I can do with the field?

Thanks.

I am pretty sure that this is a new R 8 feature.

I hope this helps !

It is just 8.0 behavior.  There are no setting the change the size of the drop-down list.

Are these products stored in Notes documents?  If so, you should probably switch to a view picklist rather than a combo box.  That way the user can change the list size, use type ahead, sort columns, etc.
