"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Thanks for the link. It turns out that the fix for this error is to uninstall the Lexmark software. Restart your computer with limited background services, and then install the Windows Vista driver (even though you're on XP). This driver is newer and it seems to work fine with my Lexmark x7350. I then restarted with all the background services on the way the were.

I'm no longer getting the error.

This solution was given to me by Lexmark support.
