Cannot print from Microsoft Office Word 2007 when open.

We have 2 machines here that cannot print from word. When word is open and print is selected the dialog box to ask what printer and such does not come up. No other print options work, like quick print. When the document is saved and is right clicked and print is selected there it prints fine. All other Microsoft Office programs print opened or closed as well as from the internet and adobe. Although it is not the printer, I have tried setting different printers as the default, and adding new printers.  I also reset the normal.dot, created new user profile, logged in as another user, uninstalled (renamed office 12 folder) and reinstalled office, performed a system restore to 2 weeks before issue, and ran spy removal software. Please advise, and Thank you in advance. Software/System specs: Windows XP SP3, Microsoft Office 2007 SP1.

Maybe? Run Diagnostics?  http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HA101003841033.aspx

Or

1.      Click Start, and then click Run.
2.      Copy and then paste (or type) the following command in the Open box, and then press ENTER:
appwiz.cpl
3.      In the Currently installed programs list, click the installed version of the 2007 Office program, and then click Change.
4.      Click Repair, and then click Continue.

I forgot to mention that i ran a diagnostics before.
But for kicks I ran one again and it came back with no identified problems and no corrective actions.
I also ran a repair from  add/remove programs, and still no print or print dialog box.

You've deleted the printer and recreated it?  Are all print drivers current?

You're not talking about the OneNote printer are you???

Yes, I have deleted and recrated the printers, and by the way our printers are networked and other machines can print to those from word. No I am not talking about the OneNote printer. I have tried setting the defaut printer from an HP, to a Savin, to another Savin with the same results.

It sounds like there may be some underlying macro intercepting the print command.

I would try temporarily removing all global add-in templates from the Startup menu, also search for all instances of normal.dot and delete or rename, and also try running Word in safe mode.

Failing that, you can try deleting the Word data key:

Thank you JOrzech, I did start word in safe mode and it worked fine, from there I disabled all the com add-ins and it came up as well. So I re-install the software that is connected to the add-ins and now the print dialog box comes up.
