universal distribution group failing to receive external mail

Hello Experts .  My site has two servers  both with windows 2003 server 64 bit.  the domain controller is server 2  and the exchange server is server 1.  So my problem is this.  I created a distribution group - universal on server 2.  And then created a mail enabled distribution group on server 2 using the same details.  the new email address is there for design@netcon.co.zm

I can send to this address and the group members receive the mail  from within the network.  However external senders get the error message  below when they send to that address.  This distribution group was created the same way as another one - sale@netcon.co.zm.  There is no problem with the second one.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In the Universsal Group properties, there will be an option which say recieve messages from Authenticated Users only. You might need to uncheck them. I dont have access to a Exchange 2007 Server at the moment so cant tell exactly where it is. i am sure you can figure it out.

I was having problems sending mail through nested group then I created a mail enabled query based group.  The problem ceased.  Why did I have to do that?
