Opening an Excel file or CSV file and extracting cell data

Greetings:

I have an Excel and/or a CSV file and I need to extract the data from four cells one row at a time.

Hoping to get the file oplen/close methods along with the method for extracting cell contents.

before you proceed make sure you know which type of file you're opening...cvs or xlsx...
