How to catch a result of script step [Execute SQL - SELECT...] into FileMaker field?

I succesfuly connected my FileMaker Pro 8,5 Adv or 9 with MySQL server.
I can thru script "Execute SQL" make INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE on MySQL server.
I need read data from MySQL server by using SELECT statement in "Execute SQL" script.
Where in FileMaker is result of this (SELECT) statement?
How can I write result into FileMaker field or variable?

(I know about Import Record Script step, but I want use Execute SQL script step.)

this is an exception in the FM/sql stuff, you should use the ODBC source in the import function to insert your query.
file/import/odbc > you'll get a wizard, but you can type your query manually; you will have to match imported records with those of a local table.
note that using v9, you can declare the odbc source as an external data source, create a table occurence in your relationship graph, then a layout for it, then find records as local data from there. much easier than using SQL.
Just watch for large tables, FM finds * when you first display the layout of a table, and if the SQL source is 500000 lines, it might be lengthy, so better issue a search before showing the layout.
