sending html email to Outlook 2007

I send out a nicely formatted email in html.  Now when people have upgraded to Outlook 2007, it is broken.  It looks like it puts in breaks every so often, is this a page break?  (there is nothing in the code to create a break.  Also, all my pictures overlay my text and my columns are all different widths.

Are these know issues?  How can I correct?

Hi, d2fox.

All versions of Outlook up to 2007 used Internet Explorer's HTML rendering engine to display HTML messages.  Microsoft changed that for 2007 though, using Word's HTML rendering engine instead.  Unfortunately, Word doesn't support the full HTML specification.  Specifically, it doesn't support some HTML items at all and only partially supports others.  Here's a link to a Microsoft page with complete details: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa338201.aspx  If your message uses any of the unsupported or partially supported HTML items, then the only solution available is to redo your message and leave those features out.

So my main question is about it putting breaks in every so often.  I don't have anything in my HTML that specifies this, it looks like a page break.  Does anyone know anything about that?
U need to do some changes in outlook

Click Tools
Select "Options"
Select the "Preferences" tab
Click the "Email Options" button
Uncheck the box marked "Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages" (4th from the top)
Click "OK" and then "Apply" and "OK" to close out the options window

I'd have to see one of the messages before I could offer any thoughts on that.

Here's the code.  I REALLY need to get rid of the breaks.  In my Outlook 2007, there is a gap after:

Now, we occupy a lowly position, both in space and rank in comparison with the

I'm not sure what needs to change to remove this.  I can solve most of the other issues, I think.

<p>It was almost a year ago when Metanexus assumed the role of herald of a call for renewal in higher education. We undertook this role on behalf of the hundreds of local metanexus groups around the world, who have made clear in so many ways that innovative, transdisciplinary approaches to addressing complex questions are vital to us all.&nbsp; They are as essential in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, as they are in Jakarta, or Johannesburg, or St. Petersburg, or any other of the 235 places that metanexus groups have spread. </p>
<p>During the 2008 conference, partners in the <a href="http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=0011yLp4GvEONSW7Qu1ZiuWIx-kwJ_pieGiyhLdZvJ1t_LGLaPtz-YKxtXqgZnW9fTPcu97tGAUblRGhVZfw7mjox5aPvtu2CZPOLtsJLjPTCP0cBYLuO0ksmu-c5z8HJtVrRPxnprT-hFdvvoyw-TQFQ==" shape="rect">Metanexus Global Network</a> will be presented with a great opportunity to learn from one another new ways to address what it means to be a person in our complex and rapidly changing world.&nbsp; The Metanexus conference is a place for the exchange of scholarly ideas and research, but it is simultaneously a place where our diversity&mdash;of discipline, religion, outlook, culture, and nationality&mdash;prompts us to grow.&nbsp; After the conference, having grown and been transformed by this experience, Metanexus will be out again calling present partners and new grant candidates to be catalysts for change in their own institutions and communities. &nbsp;Contact me, <a href="mailto:tsiopinis@metanexus.net" shape="rect">Nikos Tsiopinis</a>, to learn more about MGNI and the Metanexus Catalyst Grant program or visit <a href="http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=0011yLp4GvEONSnmpq_7ZdhZG_OpmCg3-MomVixj-kLFbF8nQMrtcr_W7OTLKJBOH3lniORvB3GwXXUiktgbsjiLiLvvVP6S2_WlQBXK2eqBu-XG2xF4qZxjdLlchp5oovB5QQ18laJazQjyZ42F4vrrA==" shape="rect">www.metanexus.net/globalnetwork. </a></p>
