I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

And which applications we can run on each one of them?

You may want to do a search on the Internet for these.  I don't know about all of them, but I would not call them systems, I would call them applications.  You don't run applications on them, they are the application.

Examples:

Bugizilla is a bug tracking application.  You use it to track bugs in applications.

CVS is an application for tracking versions of "things".  The "things" could be documents, configuration settings, or programs.
