Exchange 2003 - Services not starting after rebooting server

cuadmin used Ask the Experts™
During the weekend, I patched our win2k3 / Exchange 2003 server, and of course had to reboot. After the reboot, both 'Microsoft Exchange Information Store' and 'Microsoft Exchange MTA Stacks' DID NOT automatically start... like they should.

Any idea how to trouble shoot this?

BTW - I am running SIFMSMSE 6.0 as well.

Please uninstall the pathes that you have installed.
And reboot again.
what are those patches.


Not sure off hand.
It was whatever M$ has released in the last 10 days for MS W2K3.
(Is there a way to find out?)

In the add remove programs sort by date.
Also check windowsupdate.log

I uninstalled KB957097, restarted as required.
All exchange services came back up like normal.
