Error "path too Deep" Can't seem to work around.

I am getting an error 'Path too deep error when using USB memory devices' when trying to copy an outlook psd file.  How do I get around this error?  I ahve tried moving the file to the root directory on the usb drive (E:) and changed the destination to C: on the destination thinkiing too many directories were involved.   But to no avail.   Help please..
