Hi Experts,

I'm looking for a product that does converting an EXE file into MSI format so I can then mass distribute the MSI through GPO.

Thanks

Whats that exe for? Most of the exe also has a msi version of it. usually EXE's are made from MSI on a packaging process.
Try to rip of the EXE with some software like winrar to see if it has a msi file inside.
here are the things u can do..
 1. do a setup.exe /? to see if there is a extract option and if there is you may get the msi in it readymade.
2. install winrar. rightclick on the exe and see if you have extract to foldername..
open the folder and see if you can get the msi file.

Let me know how it goes...
if you can give the most specific product type /software i can defiinitely get the most specific information.

I'm trying to convert QuickTime 7.5.5  into MSI file so I can mass deploy it through GPO. I'll try the Winrar to see if there is a MSI version of it.

Also, bhanukir7, I'm trying out your suggestion.

Well.. i guess my idea should work for you. You can use winrar or even 7zip to extract the same.

What worked for you? winrar or 7zip.
it will help me..
  good that it worked soon..

Every problem has a solution with packaging.. if you were to make a msi out of exe it might not have worked as expected as it wil a 3 layer process.
