Removing peer from peer table failed, no match

Hello,

I've been seeing in our firewall alerts the following message:

<163>%PIX-3-713902: IP = 118.167.188.193, Removing peer from peer table failed, no match.

I'm a little green when it comes to troubleshooting this but is this someone who is trying to establish a VPN tunnel with us? I've blocked the IP from further attempts but wanted to be for sure.

Thanks,
Nick

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There should be additional information in the logs above this message.  It is probably an issue with authentication or the group name.

Do you have any VPN users complaining that they can't connect?

The only VPN that we do on the Pix is site to site. We have a Sonicwall VPN that handles each of our users.

It sounds like it was someone looking for a hole in your securty.

From this; www.geobytes.com/ipLocator.htm it looks like that IP came from Tiwan.  :)
