Driver for PCI Express - NT4 for Tape drive

upgraded server from Compaq Proliant to HP G3 DL380 - OS NT4 but now the tape drive won't work. Is a PCI express need to run back up exec. Does anyone know of any drivers?

If you've changed SCSI controllers, NT4 may not support your new one - in fact, it almost certainly won't if its a PCI Express device. HP may have released NT drivers for it, though.

If you're using the same tape drive there shouldn't be a problem once drivers for the controller are loaded. If you can't get drivers for it, and you don't want to upgrade the OS, then you'll need to get a controller compatible with NT 4 (and with your machine's expansion slots)

Try running the server from a VMWare ESXi environment & port across the tape drive with the included drivers - worth a shot...
