Automatic add to calendar

Hopefully this is possible,
I've got users using exchange/outlook and we want to automatically add a recurring meeting to everyone calendar. Is there a way to do this without actually sending a meeting request?  Does anyone know if this can be done using a script?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi, JamesonJendreas.

Yes, you can add an appointment via a script.  It won't be automatic though.  Each user will have to run a script or click a link that runs a script for the item to be added.  There isn't a way for them to just turn their computer on and have the appointment appear there, unless of course you have Exchange admin rights and want to connect to each person's mailbox and do this.
