SQL LOg Rescue will install only on sql server 2000. There is message that it must be manually installed on sql server 2005. Have you ever installed on 2005

I have not. When I tried it for 2000, their support was good ... I'd ask them.
To find out in the PAST, you need a log analysis tool. And it will work ONLY if the DB is in Full recovery mode.
