Hi

Go to Help> Check for updates. Wait for process to end and the dialog box to appear. Select preferences and disable the update by unticking the 'Autromatically...'tickbox

This may have been changed at some point. There is no preferences button on dialog box anymore. No way to stop auto updates anymore.
