How to set permissions for creator owner group in 2003 server

My office is a windows 2003 active drirectory environment. When I checked our windows 2003 file server last day Some staff group data and profile folders having permissions issues. The creator owner group permissions are found as blank. and in advanced tab it saying affect only for sub directoris and files. I tried to change it to creator owner full controll. But it again automaticaly reseting as blank. Please advice me !!!!.

    If you scroll down and/or select "advanced" you should see that "special permissions" are set.  The creator owner always has special permissions that allow "full control"
