Users receiving multiple duplicate messages in Exchange 2003

I have an Exchange 2003 SBS server.  Monday when users came in, they started recieving 2 of every message.  They even started receving duplicates of old messages that they had recieved months ago.  This has continued and now the users have anywhere from 6000 - 25000 emails in their inboxes.  I have looked at several different Microsoft and other online articles, but can find nothing that points me in the right direction.  This is becoming critical because not only can they not use their Outlook, but the extra emails are eating up all hard drive space on the server.  Has anyone seen this before and know how to stop it?

Is your exchange using pop3 connector or smtp to receive email into your server?
If you are using pop3, you may find that you have an alias mailbox or autoredirect which is causing duplicates.

Happened to me once before. Once I resolved the issue, I used this software to remove the duplicates.
Its $15 per user, but i just installed it on one PC and then logged in as each user to run the process. (instead of installing it onto each pc in turn)
