How can I detect when a submenu of a popup menu has been opened/expanded?

    assign an event to the OnClick of the parent menu item

    it gets fired when opening expanding the menu

    procedure TfrmMain.mnuParentMenuOpenedClick(Sender: TObject);
      Caption := 'Opened';

    What if the menu has been opened without clicking? (just hovering over)

    gets fired too, i tested it

    if you implement my code,
    the caption of the form will change to 'opened' just with hovering
