I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Look at this path, where profilename is your user account

C:\Documents and Settings\profilename\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK11

.... the other way to find the file location from within an Excel file opened from Outlook
from the menu:
File - Save As
this highlights the destination folder path, ie the temporary directory above

Hello TokenHash,

Adding to what brettdj said, The Outlook folder where attachment opens is OLKxx, where xx is a random numbers. This folder is difficult to access. Here is a way to access the folder and files

In Vista, the Secure Temp folder is located at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\xxxxxxxx

Script to find and open OLK folder

Hope this helps!
