Merge excel data into a pdf document with form fields

Hi There,

I was wondering if anyone can help with this we need to merge excel data into a pdf a bit like you do a mail merge with a word document. We have limited software options as this is for a client who are very restrictive on downloading products so we must do this with Excel and Adobe Acrobat Standard.

So just to reconfirm the excel has many rows and the pdf document has a few form fields and we need to bring that excel data in to the pdf document into these form fields and do the same technique as a word mail merge to create many doc's...hope that makes sense.

Cheers,

Steve

I use a program called activepdf (https://store.activepdf.com/shopexd.asp?id=128) we use the more robust version but I think the lite version will do what you want.

It allows you to manipulate via an activeX control a PDF document and save the information that you "fill" into fields on the document, it works great.

I don't think your going to find a freebie when it comes to modifying and saving a PDF document.

Glad it can be of use - its a nice control and has done well for us. There are probably other solutions but it was pain free to implement for us.

Good luck!
