Differing DNS records

Hi

I bought a new domain name a few days ago. There seems to be a few problems with propogation around the net. While investigating this I discovered another name server that was pointing to a different IP address to the correct one.

DNS server Class Host Value TTL
ns1.truedns.co.uk A licence-server.com. 195.74.53.12 14400
ns2.truedns.co.uk No result

ns1.parklogic.com A licence-server.com. 64.38.29.126 14400
ns2.parklogic.com No result

The truedns one is the correct, how can the parklogic dns point to a different IP?

Cheers

You should wait for a week for DNS propagation.

How exactly did you find that server? I can use my own DNS with another settings for your domain, but that doesn't mean that other users will use it... Only authoritive servers make sense.

There seems to be many conficting times for propogation, anything from 3-4 hours to a week! The most common time stated seems to be 36-48 hours. This domain has been active more than 72 hours.

I was using one of the web tools to check the propogation this tool checks random name servers for entries for my domain. It was just luck that I spotted this one and that the IP address was different from the correct one.

Maybe I should wait a bit longer to see what happens....
