How to clear e-mail address cache in Lotus Notes 8
Hi, we've recently upgraded our Notes Clients and Server to Notes 8.0.2. A nice feature inside of Notes is that it automatically remembers old email address you have used in the past when you start typing the first couple letters of an email address. However, the only problem with this is that if an email address is changed, then when you type that person's name in, it will pull the old and more frequently used one.
The question is: Is there anyway to clear the cache(history) of old email address when typing it into the To: field of a new email memo?
Thanks!!

Does that file get automatically created when logging back into Notes? I should be able to test this in about 20 minutes.

Tried deleting the file, it did create a new file when opening Notes again, but the problem still remains, the old email address still pulls up.

Thanks brwwiggins, I think that is it. I will confirm that this morning and close this when I find out for sure.

That was it. Thanks!
Once you clear the recent contacts you should select the following option in
File - Preferences - Contacts
Do not automatically add names to the recent contacts view

I found a way to clear the e-address cache on lotus 8.5. Here is how when you are in lotus:
Step 1: click on home tab
Step 2: click on contacts
Step 3: click on "recent contact" tabs
Step 4: select all and right click to delete
Hope this helps.
