Windows Update Server 2003 Error number: 0x8024D007

I am getting the error message 'Error number: 0x8024D007' when I try to update the server. I have tried everything on https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22667251/Windows-update-fail-to-install-no-error-code.html and no luck.

You might be missing some dlls. Refer to this Microsoft article for the list of dlls that require registration: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956701

In addition, try to download and install the latest WU Agent (I presume you on x86): http://download.windowsupdate.com/windowsupdate/redist/standalone/7.2.6001.788/windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe

No luck the DLL's did not fix the issues. When I tried to install the update tools I got the same error code as before.

Neither original question no author comments ever stated he runs update without having administrative rights (especially, on the server!). It is obvious the update itself and the fixes I suggested require administrative rights.

I was a domain Admin doing the updates (also tried as Local Admin and a second Domain admin all got the same error before the change to the GPO) , There was some corruption on the Domain Domain Policy within the domain.
