Executing simple batch file outputs strange characters which break the command.

Hi,

I am using Vista 32bit Ultimate.

I have a batchfile called EchoHello.bat and only contains
echo Hello

I have called it EchoHello.bat

The file is placed in two locations.
C:\EchoHello.bat
C:\Temp\EchoHello.bat

I have a printscreen which shows both executing. Why does the first one fail with funny characters being outputted before the "echo hello"? How can i fix this as it seems to happen in any other directory other than C:\temp

The problem is the same if i run CMD as administrator or as normal.

Hope you can help, thanks.
