RHEl5 log off with uisng command

HI all,
             I am working in RHEL5. I have to frequently logg off my system. for that i have to click at system and than log off root.

can any body tell me how it can be logoff using command line what i have to do for that.
I want the same way that we do for windows in windows we press homekey+l.
how i have to do it in RHEl5.

any help will be appreciable
