How can I play a Windows game in a separate window?

Last Modified: 2013-12-26
Is there a way to play Windows games in a separate window in Windows Vista?  There are a couple reasons I would want to do this.  First, it would be nice to be able to see the rest of my desktop applications while playing.  Second, I have a widescreen monitor and am playing some older games that only display in 4:3.  And thirdly, I have 2 monitors, which makes scrolling through some games very difficult, as the mouse just goes off the game onto the second screen.

I have searched the internet high and low, and can't find an answer.  Any auggestions?
