WSUS corrupted and will not re-install now system will not update, delete WSUS or re-install
Hi,
I am a novice so excuse my ignorance.
I have SBS 2003 setup serving 10 users and file access as well as exchange email( which is collected and sent directly to this server) is all working well.
During an update of the system I installed WSUS. Rhis seemed ok but did not install correctly. I tried to un-install and then use an earlier version, this failed and so tried the latest version which did not complete.
The system is functioning ok but I dont get any reports anymore and so I have to remote connect to check the server. I would like to re-install WSUS or get the reports working again.
Any ideas please

That does not help Im afraid. Thanks for the link but I have read it before along with a few other proceedures. It seems WSUS is broke on the server now though it functions well I just have to manually download updates and logon to the server daily to check it.

That document will instruct you on how to UNINSTALL and REINSTALL WSUS, which is what you need to do.

Download install and run Windows Installer CleanUp Utility:

then try reinstall

You can't use that utility on WSUS.

OK, tried that, no WSUS found. Tried to reinstall WSUS 3.0
The installer has encountered an unexpected error. The error code is 2753
Please note that this is a live server so I am worried about Server becoming damaged.
