Slow Internet

We run a small network. We have five PC's and a SBS. The SBS has two nics and the second nic connects to our router.

Just today, all internet surfing has gone really slow for everyone. Every page takes an age to open.

We have restarted the router and SBS, and still the same.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Please check all networking statistics from task manager for every pc and also sbs in your network. This might be a virus or spyware problem which is using internet connection enormously.

Try to run a bandwidth test and see what you get:

It's possible your ISP is having congestion/latency.
Try patching the router directly into a PC or laptop (Instead of the SBS WAN) and set the network settings to match what is on SBS WAN Interface. You should be able to get out to the Internet and run performance tests. If everything works fine, then you've confirmed that SBS is the problem. Using SBS with dual NICs is generally frowned upon.
