Event ID 13508 error

i have recently installed a 2003 DC to replace a 2000 server. everything went fine so i decommissioned the 2000 server. The new 2003 is now set up to replicate between the "main" DC at the head office but still i get event errors concerning NtFrs as its still trying to replicate to the old 2000 DC.

I have tried most things and even cleanup within run adsiedit.msc
go into /domainNC/server objects that were member of the replica set/cn=ntfrs subscriptions/
delete the subscrition of non-existing folders
go into /domainNC/system/cn=file replication service/cn=dfs volumes,
remove the dfs folder that doesnt exist anymore

Any ideas?
