I just installed Exchange 2007 Server onto a new Windows 2008 transitioning off of an old Exchange 2003 server. The log files reached capacity on the drive and I had not yet been able to do a backup of the new server. To make matters worse, one of my assistant admins deleted a good chunk of the log files and rebooted because he thought it would free up space and remount. Unfortunately he was wrong. I now can not get my four databases under the First Storage Group to remount. The old Exchange server was already decomissioned earlier today so that really isn't an option for me.
