Error starting SQL Server Analysis Services service

Hello Experts!

I'm having trouble with my SSAS service... When I try to start it on my server (Windows Server 2003 SP 2) I get the error:
"The request failed or the service did not responde in a timely fashion. Consult the event log or other applicable error logs for details".

Going to the Event Viewer I can see:
"The service cannot be started: Message-handling subsystem: The message manager for the default locale cannot be found. The locale will be changed to US English. File system error: The following error occurred while opening the file '\\?\D:\OLAPlog\msmdsrv.log': Access is denied. . Message-handling subsystem: The message manager for the default locale cannot be found. The locale will be changed to US English. The following system error occurred:  The device is not ready. ."

The device mentioned is the log file or the device on which the databases are stored? How do I change the configuration for these device location?
Or is it another problem that I'm missing?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! The server administrator swore the account that runs the service have not changed, but after deeper investigation I discovered it had changed and the new account didn't have appropriate permissions on the log and data folders for the OLAP.
