Server 2008 (SBS) Backup - Safely remove hard drive
I am upgrading our Small Business Server 2003 to 2008 and plan switching from tape backups to external USB hard drives as supported by the built in backup system. My plan is to have a number of drives which wll be swapped and taken off site daily.
After testing I realised that after backing up I am still required to click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon before removing the drive. This is a pain as I would have to log on to the server every time I change the drive whereas now all I have to do is swap a tape. The other problem is that I cannot always rely on other people to take this step when I am not in the office to do it.
Is there a way to make SBS backup remove the drive after backup is complete?

Thankyou for your replies.
I followed the above steps and found that Optimise for quick removal was already selected. So I guess I was already safe to remove the drives without needing to login.
