Photosmart Color Printing Preferences

Hi--
I recently purchased an HP Photosmart D7560 printer with a five-color ink system.  I noticed that when I print from Photoshop, the colors come out considerably different than what they appear to be in Photoshop.  So--what I want to do is let Photoshop manage the color.  Seems simple, but the only options under the 'Color' tab are sRGB/ColorSmart and Adobe 1998.  According to various searches, Photosmart printers should have four color options--the two previously mentioned, along with an ICC profile and one that says 'Application manages color'.  I have looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find these options.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and software three times, and have contacted HP twice.  They didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about (I have no idea how you can be in tech support and not know what color management is--they kept thinking I was asking to print in B&W) but one "technician" I chatted with online said that this model does have this capability (I thought perhaps this particular model just didn't offer this option).  If anyone knows anything about this model that could help me, I would be greatly appreciative.  I cannot deal with calling them again, and I have searched everywhere and know I have the latest driver (well, I assume I do because I just bought the printer).  If this is not an option, could someone suggest a photo printer that delivers high-quality prints from Photoshop?  I am ready to throw it out the window!
Thanks :)

I think the feature you are talking about is Photoshop's feature and not the feature of the printer software/driver. Check the attached screen shot. Its photoshop's print dialog box and you can see the Color Management options on the right. I am using Adobe Photoshop CS4, but I believe these options were there in CS3 too.

Thank you for your response!  I do have the settings in the picture you attached, and I am able to select them.  The problem is that I can't disable the color management in the printer and let Photoshop take over.  So, when I click 'let photoshop manage colors' the color management is still on in the printer, which is essentially pointless...I will put a screen shot up in a bit to illustrate what I am talking about.

Anindya,
Thank you for your help!  I didn't put up a screen shot because I have come to the same conclusion--I am pretty sure that the C & D series printers do not have this option.  I checked on a friend's C4000 (can't remember the exact numbers) and it didn't have that option either.  It's odd though because my old HP 7800 (from 2004 or something) has it...I guess I'll just have to deal with it!  Re: sending the screenshot to HP--(I had to add this because it's quite humorous to me)--they actually took over my computer remotely and still didn't get what I was asking!  I had to show her a website that illustrated what I meant before she even understood that I wasn't trying to print in B&W.  Honestly, it was one of the worst customer service experiences ever!  Thanks for your help--it is much appreciated!

I found it through google using the search query "hp photosmart application manages color". It was the fourth result. :)

Windows Vista

Windows Vista is an operating system created by Microsoft as the successor to Windows XP. It was intended for PCs, workstations and laptops, and shares the same code base as its successor, Windows 7. New features included an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Aero, a new search component called Windows Search, redesigned networking, audio, print and display subsystems, and new multimedia tools. Vista aimed to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network, using peer-to-peer technology to simplify sharing files and media between computers and devices. Windows Vista included version 3.0 of the .NET Framework, allowing software developers to write applications without traditional Windows APIs.
