 Do you mean _allow_ field clipping?  Something about your question was confusing me and I finalized realized what it was.  :-)

 So, when you uncheck "allow field clipping", the field is still being cut off, instead of being replaced by "#"s?  I don't think I've ever seen a problem like that.  One thing you can check is the formula (X+2) button beside "allow field clipping".  In my experience, if you enter a formula for an option like this, the formula overrides the check box.  IOW, if you have a formula entered there that evaluates to true, clipping will be allowed, whether the checkbox is checked or not.

No i have not written any formala in X+2 .Im using crystal report embedded with visual studio 2000.Any reason because of the version.Want a solution,because numeric fields like 1,10,000 gets cliiped and shows as 10,000.So lots of confusion arises
