Switching between wireless access points

I need to find a solution to help laptop users in the office auto switch between access points. The laptops are using XP Pro and the Microsoft wirelss utility. I dont want the users to have to switch to the stronger signal AP. Any advice would be great on setup, software or the purchase of new equipment. Thank you

If it's the 2.4GHz band, stick with channels 1, 6 and 11.

If you're using 802.1x RADIUS, enable fast reconnects (see attached)... makes switching APs much faster when roaming.
