Why does this Flash movie flicker?

I've got a Flash movie that opens up fine, but once you go back to that page from one of the satellite pages, the opening sequence gets hung up somehow and it will keep playing the same frame over and over again - or at least that's what I think it's doing.

The reason this didn't work is because my opening "counter" had the timeline proceed to a place that didn't allow some of the necessary swfs to generate. So the animated lines, for example, that were supposed to crawl across the screen were never cued to fire. That being the case, the timeline moved forward without those movies kickin' in and, as a result, it just "flickered" without any resolution.
