PCI-e with a PCI video card for 3 monitors, same driver set

Using a MB with (1) PCIE and (2)PCI slots and Windows XP, I'm trying to get a Geforce 7200(pcie) and a Geforce 4 MX440(pci) to work together for a three monitor configuration.  On board video is an ATI x200 or something and is disabled.  I can install the 7200 no problem with PCI-E set to primary in the BIOS.  Once I install the PCI card, I get BSOD or the hardware properties says, 'This device can not start because it has a problem'.  I can install the PCI fine with out the 7200 installed ( or enabled).  So here is where I am now.  Each card has a driver (set, as one driver covers many cards).  So I'm thinking a driver conflict.  I chaged the 7200 for an 7600gs hoping the 7600gs and the MX440 use the same driver set?!?  Is there anything else to consider, like IRQ settings,  BIOS initiating pci first or order of installation,  Any help greatly appreciated.   drew@itsaboutaction.com

The PCI card is in the 1st slot location and the firewire in the 2nd(needed), so I should swap them? What would this change?

All good ideas, I'll keep trying.  Does the IRQ play into using dual video outputs?
Please add anything that might pertain to this as a standard solution is needed.  Thanks
Finally got this working!   The drivers were not compatible, once I installed the 7600gs,  I installed the 93.71 drivers for both cards and whala.  PCI-E set as primary in the BIOS and now I am running four monitors (2 on each card!)  All IRQ settings I changed to 'Auto'.   'Optimized Defaults' turns these on.  Recommend installing the PCI-E card first after downloading driver ( as both cards must use same drive set, many cards supported with one driver set ).  Reboot into BIOS and verify PCI-E primary and Auto IRQ.  Shutdown.  Install the PCI card and driver.  Turn displays on in display properties.  You can't mix ATI and Nvidia.  But  apparently you can use Intel on-board with either if your MB supports it?!?    Good luck to anyone struggling with this.
