A programmer gave us about 30 PBLs (source code) for an application. I have powerbuilder sybase enterprise.

I could not open those PBLs to view them using the File/Open. It prompts for workspace.

1.  Do I need to get the workspace or target files? is it possible to create those or do i need the ones that are associated with the applications. The programmer is gone now. is it possible to use an old workspace for one year old backup.

2.  I also have the EXE for the application. I want to check/print the source code associated with each window or menu. How can i using the application get a window or menu name and then find out the script in the system tree.

3. This application uses an oracle db connection. I can only establish connection on a PC with VPN software. Is it possible to open those PBLs on a desktop without VPN or DB connection.
thanks,
