Linksys WRT54GL

How do you find an ip address for a Linksys WRT54GL that is set up not to broadcast?  I am trying to connect one of our Doctor's laptops to this wireless connection under Vista and am having a hard time.  This network was setup before I started working here and I have been unable to talk with our contracted network people.

well I guess you're looking for two things.  The IP of the router can be obtained by plugging a device into the router (provided its giving you a leased addy) and looking at the gateway in IPconfig.  Once you have the address, which is usually 192.168.0.1 or 1.0, you will need to look at the login for the router.  By default its usually blank username and admin as the password, or the other way around.

All else fails, reset the router with the button located on the bottom for 30 seconds and reconfigure.

I suggest you print out and show these articles to your boss (or whoever is in charge of approving your office's network security policies).

Here's a link I found on google on my first search for ''crack hidden SSID''
http://forums.remote-exploit.org/showthread.php?t=15854

I'll leave it to you to find the software mentioned there, but as the messages on that forum shows, the tools and knowledge to find the so-called 'hidden' SSID are all freely available to anyone with an internet connection, and is easily do-able by anyone with a laptop that will boot from a live distro of linux (http://www.livecdlist.com/).
