Solstice Disksuite, replacing failing hard drive
We have a failing hard drive which is mirrored to root. The iostat output shows hard errors and metadb shows that slice containg the DB has write errors. We are planning to replace the hard drive. Some suggest use metareplace, others use metattach after replacing the disk.which is the correct procedure.
metadetach>replace hard drive>fmthard>installboot> metareplac e
or
metadetach>replace hard drive>fmthard>installboot> metainit>m etattach
Coull you please proveide the exact steps on how to go about it?
Please let me know if you need more info.
