I am having issues with Office 2007--specifically Word 2007 and Outlook 2007. For no apparent reason, both will crash and cause any work to be lost. I am actually having this problem on 2 identical machines. Both machines are up to date on Windows and Office updates and neither have any 3-rd party plug-ins.
When a user is in Word, it will randomly shut down and reopen. sometimes it recoveres the document, sometimes it doesnt. In Outlook, whena user is typing a message the reply will close, but not the original message, causing work to be lost.
this affects every profile on the machine. i ended up formatting 1 box to get rid of the issues, but that doesnt tell me whats causing it and it isnt a realistic solution.
im stumped on what it could be--a unisntall/reinstall doesnt fix it. event viewer doesnt show anything other than the 2 programs crashed. btw, i have 11 of these same machines that are fine--all machines updates via WSUS so i know all machines are equal(hardware and software).
