I would want to make Ghost images of my hard drive.
I would want to make images of my partitions on my hard drive.
I have no experience with the above.

If I were to purchase an external USB hard drive:
1. Creating Ghost images  and creating partition images will be fine?
2. If my internal hard drive fails, how would I load the images through the USB port? (Load up Ubuntu on cd-rom?)

Low-cost NAS. Buffalo/Western Digital/Iomega? Any experience with these brands. From what I have read, these drives networked are very slow and very cumbersome.
