My brother bought an e-machine. Recently his children downloaded a virus on it . The virus is av2010. &nbsp;It has slowed the machine down to where everything either freezes, locks up or does not respond to anything. <br />

I am trying to format it or reformat it. &nbsp;It has windows vista already embedded on the machine. I cannot use the restore because I am afraid it has planted itself in the restore. &nbsp;As of right now his computer is full of spyware, adware and this virus. &nbsp;<br />

I've tried contacting e-machine but they were NO help at all. &nbsp;<br />

How do I get this computer functioning again?? Is it possible to reformat it? <br />
